Ziegler–Natta Catalyst

Specification

Ziegler–Natta catalyst is a type of catalyst made from a mixture of chemical compounds that are mainly used in the synthesis of polymers belonging to 1-alkenes such as alpha-olefins which are hydrocarbons containing a double carbon-carbon bond.

Usually Ziegler catalysts refer to titanium-based systems for conversions of ethylene and Ziegler–Natta catalysts refer to systems for conversions of propylene.

Application

  • Used for the production of High and Low-Density Polyethylene
  • Production of thermoplastic polyolefins, polybutylene, crystalline polypropylene and carbon nano tubes nanocomposites
